Annual Buće Tournament 2023

 

The 2023 Buce tournament at the Croatian Club was an amazing event, despite being hit by a cyclone that forced the tournament to be played over two separate weekends.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, the tournament attracted many new and old teams to compete for the eternal glory of having their names forever etched in history and on the Buce trophy.

The tournament was hard-fought and passionate, with some amazing play and battles over the course of two days. The final was particularly intense, featuring "Stari," Goran Vrdoljak, Mladan Goricki, and Vedran Skokandich against "Kokorići," Matt Vuksich, Johnny Rakich, and Paul Urlović. After a hard-fought and closely contested battle, Kokorići emerged as the well-deserved champions of the tournament.

Despite the difficult weather, the tournament was a huge success, with early calculations suggesting that the club will make a net profit in excess of $30,000. This success would not have been possible without the tireless work of Victor and his crew in the kitchen, as well as a group of nameless people who turn up to every tournament with the motto "what can I do for the club," rather than "what can the club do for me."

Overall, the 2023 Buce tournament at the Croatian Club was an amazing event that showcased the best of the sport and brought together a passionate community of players and supporters. A huge thanks goes out to all those who turned up to compete and support the tournament, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2024!
