Kralj Tomislav Folklore Ensemble
The Kralj Tomislav Folkore Ensemble currently consists of 3 kolo groups; The First Ensemble (senior dancers and singers) intermediate dancers and over 40 dancers in the junior children's groups. Dances are performed from various regions of Croatia, with each dance portraying a storyline. Each dance is carried out with pride in traditional costume. Both the intermediate and junior groups form an integral part of our Ensemble, for it is the members of these groups who will develop the skills to naturally progress to the senior group.
The Kralj Tomislav first ensemble is privileged to have represented the Croatian culture in New Zealand with extensive tours of Croatia and Australia over the years. The group has also featured in Croatian media and appeared on nationally televised events in Croatia. Kralj Tomislav is very fortunate to have secured the tutelage of Mr. Goran Kacurov, who has transformed the groups since his arrival in 2008, to the professional and energetic ensemble of performers it is today. |
